Taking our Charter boat to Jost van Dyke
The day trip to Jost van Dyke (BVI) is our most popular Charter Trip but when we have a day or two off, we also very much like going there ourselves on our Powerboat! Here are the photos of a recent trip. We had 2 days off, the weather forecast was good and we decided to spend the night there on the boat, anchored in White Bay, under a make-shift tarp we made from a hammock. This also gave us some time to play around with the night lights, we put in a new control unit and got the color change to work. We took plenty of food in our cooler and cooked dinner on the boat with our small gas stove and had breakfast at Soggy Dollar Bar the next morning.
We also took our paddleboards over to Jost van Dyke and went for a paddle in White Bay, around the reef to Ivan’s and went on a nice downwinder from Sandy Cay back to White Bay. Oh, the paddleboards also came in handy for the check-in at Great Harbour, there was no free space at the dock, so we just moored the boat and paddled over to the customs office.
