Sunsets on St. John are spectacular and even more beautiful from the water. Imagine sitting on the boat, sipping a cold drink and seeing the sun drop into the water or behind the rock. If you get really lucky, you might even see the famous green flash. The green flash are optical phenomena that appear on the horizon, usually the ocean, just after the Sun rises or sets. It is a flash of green light that lasts for about a second or two. Sometimes (rarely) the green flash can resemble a green ray shooting up from the sunset (or sunrise) point. Green flashes occur because the atmosphere can cause the light from the sun to separate out into different colors.

Sunset Cruise Reviews
“Highlight of our trip to St. John” *****
Reviewed December 1st, 2016
"Capt. Steve led us on an incredible sunset cruise during our Thanksgiving trip to St. John. The kids (12 and 10) and us, their parents, had a blast, as did my wife's parents, both in their 70s. The kids loved wading through the water at Cruz Bay to board the boat, but Steve was very accommodating and took the boat around to the National Park dock so the older folks could board more easily. Our only regret is that we didn't book Rockhoppin' for more adventures. We'll be sure to do that next time. Everyone agreed that our evening on the boat was their favorite part of the entire trip. Highly recommend this over the over-priced and over-crowded cruises offered out of most resorts."
