After weeks of waiting, our new powerboat, a 32 FS Regulator, finally made it’s way from Hilton Head down to St. Thomas, where we picked it up on Tuesday, safely without any damages or items missing, just very dirty from the long journey. And it had an empty round on the dashboard. Not sure we want to know where that came from….
Picking Up Our New Charter Boat
We had to go to the Nisky for excise tax and then claim the board at customs. It was shipped on a trailer, so we called a tow truck to have it pulled from the Seastar Cargo Yard into the water, then it was time for Captain Steve to start the engines and back it up into the water and off he went for the maiden voyage to St. John while Lucy had the fun task of bringing the trailer back on the car barge….
It’s a really comfortable charter boat, with forward-facing, cushioned seating. It has twin Yamaha 250s and is moored in Cruz Bay, in front of the Beach Bar. We are looking forward to taking you out on a Private Charter for example to Jost van Dyke.
Here are the photos of the maiden voyage to St. John from St. Thomas:
