It’s time to get together and play some Cornhole for the Community!!!
In addition to the Cornhole Tournament…we will have Music, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Popcorn, Chips, Drinks & with your donations, lots of Raffle Prizes!
What is Cornhole?
It has been called many things, Corn Toss, Bean Bag, Bean Toss, Soft Horseshoes, Indiana Horseshoes, but to many of us born and raised in Kentucky and the southern part of Ohio, the game is passionately referred to as Cornhole.
It has been said that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago. The truth is, who really knows, but the game is great fun for all ages and can be played anywhere!
Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.
Scoring can be swift and the lead may change hands several times in a match before the winner is decided. The game is generally played tournament style with an individual or team being named the champion at the end of the tournament. It is great fun, give it a try!

**Raffle/Prize Donation Letter – No donation is too small – ALL are welcome & greatly appreciated! If you do not have a Business Gift Certificate, you can complete the form and e-mail it back to info@tamarindcourt.com . These will be drawn throughout the day for the raffle prizes.

Click on the Grant a Wish button and make your donation. When it prompts you to review your donation at the end of the process it will ask you to “Please Specify Wish List item”, please type in “Friends Helping Friends – Artie”… you will then confirm your payment and will receive a confirmation receipt that you can use for tax deduction purposes.
If you wish to donate by check, please make payable to St. John Community Foundation and write “Friends Helping Friends – Artie” on the memo line and either drop it by the Tamarind or mail it to SJCF, PO Box 1020, St. John VI 00831

**Cornhole Team Sign Up Form – Please complete and dropped off along with the entry fee at the Tamarind Court. It is not just one team per business, anyone can enter, so please feel free to forward this e-mail.
At 5pm Team River Runners will be at the Tamarind to draw the teams for the Chaotic Kayak Race…always fun to see who’s racing who! If your Business would like to have a Chaotic Kayak team, please contact Tom Larson at sadieseacharters(at)gmail.com.
