Paddleboards for Rent on St. John
We teach and rent out high quality Fanatic Paddleboards. Here is an overview of all the models we have:
ALLROUND SUPs – Fanatic Fly the board of choice for beginners and intermediate paddlers sizes 11’6, 11’0 and 10’0
Fanatic Fly Pure in 11’6″ and 10′. The 11’6″ would be the normal choice. The 10′ is for smaller, lighter riders or kids/teens. It also works well in waves.
Fanatic Fly Softtop Paddleboard in 11’0 for rent
this board has a soft cover and bottom and a rubber around the rails which makes it pretty indestructible. Good for rocky beaches or if you just want to throw it onto your car without having to worry.
Fanatic Fly Grip Deck Paddleboard in 11’6″ for rent
This board has no grip deck which makes it a bit lighter, which the ladies like. We have attached a luggage net to it, so you can take a dry bag or snorkeling gear.
INFLATABLE PADDLEBOARDS FOR RENT
Fanatic Fly Air Touring 12’x34″, super-wide & stable for heavier riders or if you want to take your kid(s) with you (they can kneel on board in front and back). It also comes with a luggage net for snorkel gear or a dry bag.
Fanatic Fly Air Race 12’6″x27’5″ (we have a Prototype, the actual color varies). Fast board for more experienced paddlers. A bit more stable vs. the Falcon 12’6″x25″. It is also a great board for kids as it’s light and easy to paddle. Also the soft rubber is safe.
CARBON RACE PADDLEBOARDS for rent
for experienced, fitness-oriented paddlers who want to go for distance paddles or downwinders. We actually circumnavigated the whole island on the 14′ model (took us 8 hours). Those boards are fast, they have an awesome glide. A paddle that takes you 60 minutes on an allround SUP will take about 40 minutes on this one.
WARNING: Once you paddled a raceboard, you don’t want to go back to the round shape!
Fanatic Falcon Carbon Race Board (2013) in 14’x25″ (2014) and 12’6×25″ (2013). Low primary but high secondary stability. That means it feels tippy at first but it rarely tips over. It has a concave bottom shape so it catches the smalles waves in a downwind. They come with luggage net attached so you can take a dry bag with you, they also have gopro mounts (for GPS or camera)
Or Fanatic Falcon (2014) in 12’6×24.75″. Great board in the ocean, very stable for its width due to lot of volume (266 Lites)
WAVE PADDLEBOARDs (for SUP Surfing)
Fanatic Pro Wave 8’10”. Wave SUP. Also a nice boards for kids in flat water.
